as documented here, http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...76-owners-lounge.826858/page-34#post-11091696 i was an idiot and flashed the vbios of Alienware a51m on my rog zephyrus gx701gxh.
now the gpu does not get detected regardless of how many times i try to reinstall the drivers.

is there any way to fix this?
Anyone can dump a vbios from CPUZ for the zephyrus gx701?
i tried flashing this vbios https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/213643/213643 but the results are the same.

thanks a lot in advance. at this point i don't know what else is there left to do.

there's an obvious typo in the title of this thread: the subject laptop is a GX701GX not 710.

Hope there is any other owner of this device here on the forum who can dump a vbios from CPUZ.

Your gx701gxh has the 2080 maxq? Which cpu? I have a gx701gxr with 9750h and 2080mq, but I don't know if my vbios could be compatible...

yes i have 2080maxq . the gxr has a series 9 of intel while gxh has a series 8 .
pls dump your vbios from cpuz. at this point there's nothing left to lose.

    thanks a lot!

thanks - but the situation didn't change.
even by uninstalling the device and the rebooting to let drivers recognize, the device is still unable to start.

i either need an exact laptop vbios or i'm missing something.

EDIT: will try the msdos nvflash method i saw on youtube tonight , but i doubt that will make any difference.

so currently gpu-z sees my card as this (see enclosed pic).

    vbios gx701gxr.JPG

but then after updating nvidia drivers gpu-z looks like this:
    vbios after drivers.JPG

and when i try to flash your vbios above this is the error it says.

    Capture.JPG

Does all of this even make sense at all ?

Try flashing with this command :
    nvflash -6 (bios filename).rom

    that's the command i used.

i even downloaded the nvflash64 version that ignores mismatched GPU IDs
    https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash-with-board-id-mismatch-disabled/

then i ran the --protectoff command even

then i ran the -6 command.

    result is still GPU mismatch.

EDIT: Tried with different versions of nvflash: latest, the one with GPU mismatch disabled, and an older one with GPU mismatch disabled but that one doesn't even support rtx 20 series so couldn't detect my gpu. Results were the same, can't get past the Subsystem ID mismatch error.

I have no idea, you probably need a vbios from another gx701gxh
