Hi, firstly my laptop is a asus f5sr and both core's are heating up to 65 degrees and my hd is getting up to 60. What can i do to cool it down? is there a program that can help?

CPU @ 65C is ok.
Hard-drive temperature over 60C is dangerous, try to keep that under 55C.
Use your computer on a flat surface like a table. Do not use on a bed.
I can't really think of any other ways to reduce hard-drive temperature... -

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Wait a minute, guys. First things first, before we start making judgements.... what are you doing when the temps hit this level - idle only, surfing, gaming, encoding, what? Different activities will run at different temps, which may be normal or not depending on the activity - encoding or gaming would be +/- normal, but idle wouldn't.
Jokeman - please provide those details, plus how you're using (table, etc) and the age of your notebook, so we can make a better assessment and recommendations. -
I will just say that critical operating temperature of most hard drives is 60C, so that is not normal no matter what you are doing.

ok im using it on a table and the core's are that temp when i start it up in the morning and the hard drive is getting to that when i play COD4 multiplayer. the laptop is about a month old and iv tried propping the back of the laptop up to get more airflow. P.S the core's are at 60 on start up/idle and went up to 70 wile playing CoD plus hard drive in idle settles at 48

That is still a bit high idle temp for the HDD. While it is unlikely that it will gather as much dust to clog up in a month, it is possible depending on how dusty the environment is. So perhaps trying to open up and clean it is still a good idea.
Moreover, are you sure that the fan is working properly? E.g., if you push the CPU with Intel Thermal Analysis Tool, does the fan kick in at full blast? Perhaps this is a matter of the fan not revving up properly.
One other option would be to update BIOS, sometimes fan policies change and become more conservative (i.e. the fan runs more) in later versions.
Also, while idle, do your CPU and GPU frequencies go lower as they should to conserve heat and power?
The CPU temp is also a bit high at 60/idle, but not dangerously so. As above, I also worry about the HDD most.
You may consider a notebook cooler if you can't improve on these temps using any of these suggestions. -
yep it is reving fine and i dont want to touch my bios. how can i overclock the fan.

How about before that, trying to:
-
well i cleaned it out twice now!!! ill just build a computer that wont die. thanx all

While the HDD temp is still a bit high as I said, it is not seriously worrying. I would for now use the computer and check back regularly how the temperatures evolve. It is entirely possible your computer will run reliably for a long time.
very high temp on asus f5sr
