    virtual memory low problem

    Hi all, I am getting a virtual memory low messageon my Asus A6R laptop, it is also getting very, very slow - what can I do to rectify? :confused:

    1. Check your machine for malware. Do a virus scan.
    2. Download malwarebytes and do a system scan.
    3. Download HijackThis. Post log.
    4. Uninstall unwanted programs.
    5. Clean up start up list.
    6. If you have 1GB or less and using Vista buy more memory.

    Virtual memory, or the pagefile as it's called is managed by Windows by default. It does an OK job in most cases but you've hit you limit. Follow this but set the page file to 1.5 times your physical ram.
