Speed - fast, but then again I also have a fast computer (C90s)
Blue screens - initial install had a few, Sp1 generated one every 20 minutes but after uninstalling SP1 and doing the vista tweaks I've had none since ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166532)
errors - slim to none
freezing - occasionally a newer program freezes up like hellgate london but hellgate has problems of its own
Overall if you follow the vista tweaks the OS is really good. I don't see what all the fuss is about if you know anything about computers. Now really it was a bad move by microsoft to make something so user unfriendly but I run home premium and I get some really nice performance out of it. I just don't like the incompatability with some of my games. I'm especially pissed with the fact that freelancer does not work. Freelancer was a game MADE BY MICROSOFT about 3 years ago that does not work properly online with vista. It does nothing for MS' image to not show support for their own programs and why I will never buy Halo 2 for PC because it might become incompatible with the next version of windows. -
Well vista has one good thing and its that you can adjust volume per aplication.
And mainly i like windows because of two reasons.
1.I have learned to use it (although i learn any program easily)
2."All" hard/software support it
Well lol those i hate it. Then why i wont just use linux then?
Well im gamer and always will be but linux is getting better for it fast.(wine/cedega and better and better gpu drivers) so maby soon i will hop over to better side with no monopoly of microsoft.
Ps: actually started installing linux just now. -

You joined the forums to post something like this??
We already have 10000^6 Vista threads by now and dont need a new one really. -
I hate vista, logged in as admin and still have to confirm "yes" 4 times when trying to make a new folder in the program files folder and 4 times confirmation for copying files to program files folder
Another thing is that you have to confirm 3 times yes just to defrag your hard drive even you logged in as admin.
Vista is slow and it sucks eggs -

Here is basics: most games work.
Some same, some even better some worse than on windows.
There is 2 hard ones 1. instal graphic drivers right (easy if you know what you are doing or just follow some step by step guide)
2. install game
free but more tricky on wine(haven tried my self) or commercial cedega where you just instal game nealy same as in windows.
Mainly if game starts it will be completely playable.
I think linux forum is better place for more talk about this subject. -
thx a lot for ur useful information ghettocowboy , think i should think well be4 intalling win -

@ghettocowboy - learn to use vista, al fo those settings can be turned off so that vista does all of that stuff without a million questions. Go to the user account control page in control panel under the Users sestting I believe. You can then turn it off.
