I've finally decided to buy asus G1 and it's supposed to arrive in 3 weeks, but the salesman said to me that it will come with vista.Since I'm buying this laptop for gaming and it's a gaming laptop anyway, will vista reduce my G1 performance in gaming?should I do a clean install with xp (considering the laptop comes with a lot of bloatware too) or should I stay with vista?

What are the specs for your computer? If don't have lots of RAM and a fast CPU, then get XP. Otherwise, since Vista is already installed, you might as well leave it be

Yes Vista for now will cause a performance decrease for gaming, I do suggest sticking with XP, unless you don't plan on gaming a lot, then you may want to stick with Vista for fun and learn a new OS.

Here's 2 reviews that are extensive and your can compare both of them.
V1JP with XP and V1JP with Vista
