w2jb LCD resolution

proportable- any new word on the resolution for the w2jb? We all speculate that asus will put in the new wsxga+ screen for NA, i mean why would they give $300 off right after release right? So as the rebate end date is nearing, how close are you to finish selling the ones with old wxga screens?

 

I know information like this helps the forum, but anything of importance isn't being left off the table.... Anything I know that I can share, will be made known to the forum. I almost didn't even click on this thread because the title suggests something that's been asked and answered many times over... the W2jb is WXGA+... period.

The answer isn't speculative exactly.... the rebate it basically saying free and clear - this isn't the model that want to be selling and one reason the last, new product manager left had at least a little to do with the hundred or so people I know I told to call to let him know they wanted to buy the unit with the higher res. Right now it's a matter of selling through the rest of the stock which is low. I think we only had a handful left ourselves and Asus was very low on Friday. I don't expect any shipment with a higher res until closer to the end of the month, but I do expect it to be $2,499.

The original pricing we got, and ran advanced orders for... was for the WSXGA+ model and it's pricing was going to be $2499.... period. I don't see this going to $2599 unless there they increase the warranty and include a carrying case...... and up the cpu....
