Any one know the brand or maker of the Analog TV tuner in the w2jb? What kinda spec does it have, is it hardware encoding/decoding? how good is it? Thanks

    Steve,

It's actually different in the new J models...... the new one is from Avermedia I believe I saw when I took one apart. There isn't much you can do with a tuner in a notebook, but I do believe the new one is better in a few ways, but they're all not as good as what you can get for a desktop of course..... If anyone has any ideas of trying to swap it with something else - think again.... there aren't too many that are made in the world and even fewer that will work with MCE.... It is hardware encoding though of course.
