The W3J seems to be my perfect notebook except for one thing, the screen. I am very concerned about the resolution as I do not know whether 1280x768 will be sufficient, I do a bit of web design/photoshop, but i also love to game and watch movies. Any opinions on the screen and whether it will be sufficient? I current run an 18" LCD at 1280x1024 and it is cutting it a bit close for photoshop work.

well the resolutions will be the almost the same (widescreen?), but on a smaller screen (14.1) so wouldn't it make it seem sharper?

    I may be wrong

Yeah you're getting about the same res on a much smaller screen. So if sharpness is your worry, you are going to see an improvement. It might even seem too small of a res going from that setting.

1280x768 or 1280x800 is regular resolution for 14" LCD, some can support up to 1400x900. may be you can go to a reseller to take a look.

I am using my W3J for 3D graphic design and the screen resolution is plenty fine.

To me it felt small, but I came from a much larger SXGA+ resolution laptop, so I'm obviously biased. I'm pretty sure most laptops at B&M stores have WXGA resolution, even 15.4", so check that out. If anything, take a screenie, upload it somewhere, go to the store, and look at the screenie to see if you like it.
