Sorry I know little to nothing about sound especially as it pertains to computers. Will the w3j support 5.1 out of the box? Will it be quality? If I was going to look into getting a 5.1 system should I also be looking at a soundcard?

The reason I am asking is I was looking at some external speakers and pulled the trigger on some logitechs (2.1) because I thought I would need an external sound card for 5.1. I think I'll keep them anyway because I'm not sure I have the desk/room space for 5.1 but I am still curious...

get a speaker set with an optical input like the high end logitechs and use the digital out of the w3j will sound awsome.
