    I have searched the forum, and google, and still have not confirmed if I can upgrade my w3j to a merom if I want too... can anyone answer this for me?

    Yes, but the warranty is voided, as well, ASUS has not released a BIOs yet, so, its impossible at the momment.

    good thats what I want to hear, dont really care to much about the warranty at the moment.... I will most likly make the switch in a year anyway, I figure if I am going to add more ram, I might as well add a core 2 :) thanks for the quick reply

    eddie (from g2p/btotech) is testing a beta version of the new w3j bios right now so it is expected that ASUS will release the the official merom-supporting bios in the next few weeks.
