First of all, which driver version is everyone using for xp? I downloaded the latest drivers using a link in the forums. 7.9 I believe.

Secondly, does anyone notice how CCC will load last as vista loads the desktop? I changed the gamma settings and they always change last after anti-virus etc. Anyone else experience this? Try changing your gamma settings in vista and see if the screen gets darker after everything else loads.

I just got my W3j today, can someone provide a link to where to get the Vista drivers? I am still a bit confused on the best sources of ATI drivers, since ATI doesn't provide the mobile ones themselves. I used laptopVideo2Go for Nvidia drivers with my V6j, but they did nVidia drivers. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, do a search for the thread in the Asus forums entitled "vista 32/64 bit drivers". It has links to all the downloads you need for Vista. Just type "w3j vista" in your search and you should find it.

I have all of the Asus downloads, and I have experience with that, but I know there is a 3rd party driver site for ATI drivers. Do you know what that happens to be?

It would be the omega driver site.

    www.omegadrivers.net

Although I can tell you, they did not work as well as the ATI drivers from the AMD site or the ones from the w3j drivers disk. But go ahead and try them and see what you think.

I am using Vista, so the disk won't help. Also, I haven't been able to get them from the ATI site, so for now I am using the ones from the Asus site. Thanks.
