i am having two problems on my w3j.
the first problem comes from having to find the last driver for my w3j.
after installing vista business using the upgrade cd, i went to asus website to download and install all the available updates, but after going back to device manager to check whats left to be installed under device manager, i see this:
Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9
anyone have any idea what this could be?
my second problem comes from the CPU throttle. it seems that my cpu (core 2 duo) is stuck on 998MHZ even while playing CPU intensive games. i dont know if this problem is related to the missing drivers but i am using NHC and power 4 gear extreme together. both the programs are set at high performance.
thanks in advance.

OK, here's my suggestion to the first problem: download and install the INF Update Utility here. I hope this helps.
As for the second problem, someone more knowledgeable will answer you... I don't have that problem, but I don't use NHC either. I only use P4GX.
BTW how do you tell that the processor is stuck at 998 MHz? Do you use CPU-Z or something else? -
thanks for the help robo, but i have already installed the latest INF update utility from intel and that still does not seem to solve the missing driver issue.
as for my cpu throttle problem it turns out i needed to download the "bug fix" version of NHC. -
Could it be a hardware problem? I don't have that issue with my Vista Ultimate 32 installation in my W3J.

I just noticed that I have the same thing under my Device manager.
It will detect unknown device "Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M/U) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9"
Sti-R did you find a solution to this?
If so can you help me, I tried download the file that robo linked to, but to no avail.
I think it has something to do with TPM Infineon, Windows states that some compatibilty issue. -
yes i found the solution. all you need to do is go to the asus website and download the TPM software
