when windows or the laptop hardware itself switch from 2nd battery to main battery, it just shutdown sometimes, and unable to boot up after, i have to unplug the 2nd battery, start up, then plug it back in...
does anyone find a fix for this problem?

I have this same exact problem. I've gone as far as crashing every non-essential process running in windows with the problem still replicating.
After sending 2 emails to Asus from their "VIP member" section (yeah...right..) with no response after over a week and a half I ended up calling their seemingly outsourced technical support. I had a very difficult time understanding the guy on the other end. After the call they sent me an email with RMA to send the notebook in with service, and yet again this email was littered with grammar errors you'd expect from outsourced technical support.
I seriously thought I was being scammed until I matched up the service address to the one on Asus' website.
I'm not a fan of this outsourced technical support crap.
Good luck to you though =) -
LOL... it would probably help you spoke mandarin/taiwanese -
Well, technically it probably isn't "outsourced" but still it was a frusterating experience for me!

Asus doesn't outsource their tech support... infact there's probably only 4-5 guys in California on a good day.......... Everyone that works for Asus needs to speak Chinese fluently... and to do that, most all of them speak english as a 2nd language...
All and ask for Albert.... You've been talking about this problem for weeks now and Asus isn't like that.... call: 510-739-3777 ext. 5110 - Ask for Albert in Tech Support and you'll have this taken care of ASAP....... btw - don't have someone else call.... do it yourself and I bet you'll get it taken care of. -
do they have a 1-800 number?
