Hey guys, i'll do a quick fill in on the status of my w3v:

-bought last summer as school computer
-working perfectly, exception of expected lag from xp
-to prep for the next year, re-installed xp + drivers so were good to go when I open it up 3 months from now.

    my questions are....

    1. where can I find the latest bios updates, last one seems to be from a couple of months ago

    2. is there any particularly good way to prep my battery for 3 months of no use?

    Thanks for any replies,

    brian

The best way to keep a battery in long term storage is to disconnect it and leave it charged at around 40-50% i'll be honest and admit that i'm not sure why, but i've seen this discussed on several occasions and this is always the resolution. With reference to updating the BIOS, the best advice is not to upgrade the BIOS unless the revision notes attached to that BIOS version makes specific reference to a problem your machine is experiencing as flashing the BIOS is always a risk.

    Hope that helps.
