    hi there,

as far as i have read asus books are covered by a 1 year international warranty when bought in north america.

usually all products bought in europe or especially germany are covered by a 2 year warranty.
so if i buy a laptop in the USA and let it ship to germany, am i covered by the standard north american warranty or by the standard 2 year german warranty? any idea?

USA warranty. You get what you paid for. And the fact that you have to pay sales tax and imprt duty when you import doesnt mean you are paying anything to Asus so American warranty conditions apply.

If you buy it in the USA, it's not under EU law, so you don't get that 2nd year. (If you buy it with one year.)
