I didn't have any complaints when I connected my z70v to my external monitor (dell). The colors on the external were great and no complaints. However, the same is not true when using the u6vc. The screen seems very washed out. The problem is, I don't know how to change the options to make it look normal :(

    Any idea/templates?

External monitors will usually have better contrast compared to any notebook screens. You can, however, try and use Asus's Splendid software for color correction and see if that helps.
