Hey guys whenever I try to use my integrated camera with applications I often get the problem "no video capture device found" or something. It also doesnt show up under my computer.. If anyone can recommend advice i would really appreciate it.

I can only give the generic advice of uninstalling the webcam driver and apps, and then reinstalling...

Or looking for updated drivers on support.asus.com

My camera in A8js keeps disconnecting and then it is black.
This happens whenever I use it in both linux and windows.
    I have the latest drivers.
The behavior is consistently the same.
I will use the camera in Yahoo messenger or Skype.
Then in windows all of a sudden the OS will beep and say new hardware is found a 2.0 webcam. Then the camera stops working.
This is all the time and I have installed new drivers, this makes me think it is something with how the OS (XP) sees the webcam as a USB connection?
Thoughts? ideas? Anything to alleviate my frustrations.
    TIA

How about updating the bios? If that doesn't work, you could then try a system restore.

Yeah, my webcam wouldn't work after I replaced my screen. I assumed I had broken it in the process and bought a new one. New one won't work either. Fahooie.
