    hey guys whats up

i just had a problem while i was playing dawn of war 2

after i played for 1 hour or so my screen got weird
it started lagging and then suddenly some weird colors started popping on the screen like green and black and pink and black

    like this one

kinda like this and the green was the same thing

and then i closed the program and in the windows bar(the one that has the time and everything) there was a ! that was yellow

now i cant click on the ! and it is still there

what do i do? is it the driver?

    edit: i fixed the link

the link is broken, but from the description i'd assume the gpu is fried.

This happened to me on my g1 once while playing wow. I thought my gpu was gone for good, but it bounced back after a restart. what i'm assuming in my case and hopefully yours, the gpu hit a critical temperature and my computer said "cut the crap" and the gpu went screwy to save itself.

but in other cases, this happend to my friend on his desktop years ago and his gpu was in fact fried.

    best of luck man.

it could be artifact problem.. or maybe texture corruption ( software problem =D )... or maybe something else ...

you could try AtiTool ( it worked on mine desktop using nVidia Geforce 8600, not sure about newer graphics cards, not sure if they still developing it =/ ).. Anyways, Atitool is one artifact streess/ stability test for the gpu =D

lol man do you really think that the gpu is fried?i don´t think so...i think that probably the problem is some corrupted gpu driver, try to update your gpu drivers and let us know what happens....this is bad news for my, i´m waiting for my X5!
I hope that you solve your problem!
