so my Asus U36SD, every time i turn it on
during this state:
![]()
it can stay for as long as ~1 minute before it enter the OS
but when i was plugging my USB installer for Linux, when i restart, it was fast, but as soon as i unplug the USB
it take a long time again
any of you know why?
well, i upgraded the laptop with an SSD, but i doubt that's the cause?

If you enter your BIOS what order are you booting from? The SSD should be first.

yep ssd is the priority
my previous Asus laptop. which is using the current SSD i installed on the U36SD also have the same issue
it took a bit long at this state
any other solution? i tried to see every possibility on the BIOS, nothing that seems to make this go away -
Just out of curiosity what firmware verzion are you using with the SSD? OCZ Technology
I am not recommending an update (it seems the it is not a straight forward process after reading some of the comments here Amazon.com: OCZ 120 GB Vertex 3 SATA III 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive MAX IOPS 6.0 Gb-s VTX3MI-25SAT3-120G: Electronics )
And does the mother board in the U36SD support SATA III?
what can i do to make this faster?
