It seems that for some reason, sometimes when I shutdown I get the "Wcourier.exe is still running" it gives me the countdown, and asks me to End Now. I can push end now and it goes away and my W3V still shuts down fine, but it is annoying. I'm sure thier is something triggering it, because sometimes when I shut down I get the problem and sometimes I dont.

I'm curious if anyone has had this problem, knows what causes it, and how to prevent it/ fix it?

    mmm,
never seen this process before, but then I dont have a w3 so maybe its a newie. I would run a few ad-aware programs to see if this is a 'nice' process or not. Google was no help unfortunately.

ps you could also try preventing the process on startup
at run type msconfig, then startup tab and unclick checkbox next to Wcourier.exe....if its there?

From my experience if google doesn't find anything and you have a process like that with such an ambigious name then it is usually a sign of trouble. You may want to try and run antivirus scans too (you can find them online at www.trendmicro.com).

There might be a problem with your "Wireless Console". I'd just try to reinstall it. The latest one should be on the ASUS website.

I just disabled it as well. not sure what exactly it's doing but I know its an ASUS stock process. I know it has to do with the wireless but thats about it. Haven't had any issues since disabling it

wcourier.exe is an ASUS program and there is not need for alarm as speculated ealier.

I would try to uninstall/reinstall. If you can disable the process and wireless still works then I guess that works too.
