    Hi everyone,
I have an Asus M6763V-LP notebook computer with 512mb installed ram. As I understand it has ddrII memory. I want to upgrade my ram by adding another memory stick however I have no idea which brand and what kind to buy? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

you would have to find out whether its ddrII 400 or ddrII 533. As for the brands, most ram upgrades you will find are about the same quality and performance. Some name brands might have a little better quality but their prices are very high.

upgrading the hard drive or remplacing a battery doesnt void the warranty so how is upgrading the ram voiding my warranty?,

anyway i think its 533 mhz. i'm also thinking that i have to match the ram in my computer with the same brand?

No, you don't have to match the brand. Just find a good, reliable stick of RAM to buy (Corsair, Kingston, KingMax, OCZ)

Just look for DDRII(533) PC4200 RAM to buy..

Regarding the warranty, you will void it if you upgrade the ram or hd. However, if you run into a problem and need service, just take out your upgrades and they wont know the difference.
