    k52jr and a52jr???

the k52jr is priced at $869 while the a52jr is at $749.
looking at both spec wise i didn't see any difference at all.

i think the a52jr would be a better purcahse, i wanted the 14'' but i dont think i can wait any longer for the k42jr to come out.

Would help more if you provided the links to the machines in question. There are several different variants for each model.

Only difference I noticed was HDD speeds, the K52 is a 7200RPM drive, the A52 is a 5400 RPM.

    Looks the same otherwise.

$100 can buy you a new 500GB 7200RPM drive. What do you think? :D

Depends on how much storage you need.

Pretty much. If you think you can work 80GB or so, the newer SSDs are worth looking at.

OP is unlikely to spend more than 1/2 the cost of the laptop on a SSD.

160G is still pretty small for storage these days, but once those 160G SDD drives come down in price I'm sure I'll be looking to buy.
