    Hello all!
    i know theres a "What Notebook Should I Buy?" section in this forum but i thought i would ask the people who own asus products and what they think i should buy?

    my main problem is that i live in the UK and every decent laptop i look at isnt available in the uk.
    iv asked peoples advice in the "What Notebook Should I Buy?" forum and they keep steering me away from asus's.

    personally i love asus's and iv had the g1 and i was very impressed.
    my question if anyone can help me is there any really good 17" gaming laptops for under £1100 or even for that amount including shipping from the US.

    my only problem is this site doesnt look very lagit because its priced in dollers even though the contact adress is in the uk.
    is there any laptop readily available in the uk for the same specs and same price

    I have emailed LXeTronics over a month ago about the price of the Asus G50VT, but they have not even replied.

    They are selling the G50VT for only £732.63! But the price seem a little too low.

    yea iv tried ringing them as well and all i get is "im sorry this mailbox is full please try again later"
    shame though

    any other sugestions anyone?

    Two things:

    1. I would caution you that ASUS support in the UK has a dismal reputation: long turnaround times, failing to fix the laptop, even introducing new faults.
    2. If that site doesn't seem legit, it's safer to assume it is not and steer clear from it. (also remember that "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.")

    Yea too true E.B.E but this brings me back to my original question is there any Asus 17" laptops readily available in the U.K of simalar price and spec?

    I'm not familiar with UK prices or sellers myself. But isn't there some shopping portal where you could search using your criteria (of the kind kieskeurig.nl is in Holland, for instance)?
