so ive been patient for my w2j...but why do they always push it back?
is it because they forgot to ship it out ?
or
is it because theyre working on it to make it better?
i saved up so much and was expecting to get it sometime
this april before i move back home (japan) after spring semester in college.
such a disappointment.

Things happen - even the most organized business can sometimes suffer unexpected delays. When you factor in thing outside of their control (ie..customs in a foreign country) you suddenly realize why they use the term "E.T.A." as in Estimated Time of Arrival.
I'm pulling for you though - I hope you get it in time. -
It's not like they WANT to push back dates, but things happen with new releases of any new product. Just be patient.

The W2's are with the same shipment as the W3's and it's my understanding that they literally missed the boat and weren't shipped until this past weekend. Asus says they've experienced longer than usual holds in customs of late and expect to recieve this shipment in their Fremont office on the 5th or 8th...... which likely makes the delivery to us on around the 11th or 12th which is the end of that week, making it probably impossible to ship prior to the 15th. The delay really hasn't been "extended" in the past week and a half.... we just gave it an extra two business days which translates to about 4 more days due to the weekend.

Oh and keep in mind, ASUS's top priority is sadly not the united states, we recieve the stock nearly last. Now, that said, ASUS also has a tremendous line up of notebooks to release, its not just 3-4 models like dell but over 10 different makes and models which makes it really difficult for them to release all of them on time. Be patient my man, you will get what you want in due time.

If you think about it, it is very logical why this sort of thing happens very often with new product launches. With a long-manufactured product, all the kinks of the various manufacturing, component acquisition, quality control, resource management, regulatory/legal affairs, marketing, etc. issues have long been worked out so everything generally runs smoothly. With a new product, many of those kinks just can't be anticipated so you learn as you go, adjusting as best you can. That's bound to affect your expected launch and shipment dates, especially with a complex international launch like this where different countries use different stds (e.g., diff. AC adapter plugs) and may get diff. components (e.g., diff. DRAMs in Europe v. U.S.). What makes these delays worse for the W3J is that it is a highly anticipated product so customers are more anxious and thus less understanding about delays.
