    i am still wait cuz it seems a waste of money upgrading to gtx 280m equipped laptop right now. is there any news on this from ati or nvidia?

    There was a post in the Aftermarket Upgrades section of a discrete announcement from ATI that they are working in mobile versions of the 5700 and 5800 series. I think also a 5670 too but I'm not sure.

    I think it was mentioned in the 'AMD finally outs new CPUS!!' thread.

    the mobile 5000 series ATI should be out between now and the end of Q1 2010 as the 5000 desktop cards are already out and running VERY well
