Ive been looking for this laptop, but cant seem to find it online for sale in the USA. Im really not sure if its been released or not? Its on the Asus website The lower model N53sv is on amazon. I really like the upgrades on the N53SN. I cant even find a retail price to see if its worth the $$ or not.

the main differences seems to be the SN comes with NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 550M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM , where the SV has NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M graphics with 1GB DDR3 VRAM

also on saw on a non american site the the SN come with 8 gigs of ram and bluRay, vs the SV with 4 gigs and reg. dvd drive.

seems like its gonna be $500-600 more, but IM not sure if its worth it or not, The graphics card is not a huge deal breaker for me, I wouldnt mind the BluRay though i can always upgrade in the future for cheaper right?

Anyone know whats going on? All i can find through google is sales in Malaysia!!

It'll be available in Poland (x-kom.pl) on April 7th. They unfortunately don't ship abroad.

xoticpc and i'm sure there are others sell the n53sv, but you can customise it, to include bluray, and more ram. the gpu is not customisable, but maybe it can be swapped in the future, and if not i'm sure you can overclock it to 550m- 555m speeds anyway.

once you customise it, the cost may outweigh the benefits compared with a lower spec g53, and maybe it would be better to just opt for that.

    good luck.

personally i think the n53 is to big.

the full hd screen is nice, but when you consider the size factor i think the n43 has it beat.
