I'm assuming you have your reasons for getting an s96j instead of the new s96s.
The s96j has been discontinued so this might get a little tricky.
I purchased a z96jm from lagoom.com last week. Very good service. Although the product went out of stock when I ordered, they upgraded my shipping from budget to 3 day Fedex for free, and it came in 2 days when it went back in stock.

For the price of the s96j, I'd suggest you go for the z96jm. It looks much better than the silver-black color scheme of the s96j in addition to the obvious upgrades. See pictures: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=130969&highlight=z96jm

Thanks for the reply, I'm a bit new to the barebooks scene. What differences are there, if any, between the S96J and the S96Jm? Aesthetics is not a concern, so I'd rather keep the cost of the base system to a minimum.
EDIT: Just took a look at the S96S at gentech, and it seems to be at the same price level as the S96J/m, any thoughts of this vs. the z96jm (esp. the video cards)? -
S96jm looks good, better than the regular silver paint. The new version has upgrades of ESATA, which is nice.
