    I want a new hard drive but need to know if its SATA or PATA?

    I could be wrong, but I guess if its a pentium m, then its a good chance its Pata, else if its a duo core, it should be sata.

    This model has been used for both PM and Core Duo so im not sure, on the asus website it says:

    "2.5" 9.5 mm IDE HDD with Ultra DMA100 supported 60 / 80 / 100 GB"

    does that mean PATA or SATA?

    The drive interface is PATA. At least it is on mine.
