    my a8js arrived monday. unfortunately, i have to wait til christmas to open it. who else has this problem? any suggestions to help pass the time?

    quick question:
    this is my first notebook. how will it (c2d t7200 2.0 ghz, go 7700, 2gigs of ram) compare to my desktop (p4 2.53 ghz, 9700 pro, 1gig of ram)?

    It'll be the same in most cases, gaming the notebook will be better obviously.

    i just ordered the A8Jp from newegg today. When will i get this? Monday as well? Im quite excited because this is my first laptop.

    Your new notebook will be much faster than your desktop. The processer is leaps and bounds ahead of the innefficient Pentium 4. The graphics are also much faster, and should be able to handle almost all new games, that are out, and most of the upcoming ones as well. By the way, congratulations on your new notebook :).

    I'm still waiting for the A8Js to be launched in Australia. To be honest, I'm starting to lean towards a C2D Macbook Pro... especially since it looks like the thermal management issues have been sorted, and my employer is considering allowing me to salary sacrifice for work.

    Still, if I hadn't heard of the A8Js' imminent release, I'd have bought an A8Jm two months ago and been happy.
