I have my barbone Asus Z70VA pretty much together.

The one thing I am struggling with is installing my Wifi card. I ahve looked at the diagrams for removing the keyboard, but I still can't quite figure it out.

Do I pry the KB off where the three access points are??

    Any help appreciated

It's really easy, except for one point.

    Basically,

    1. Unscrew screws marked 'K' on bottom
    2. Pry the 3 'tabs' above the keyboard over the F1~ keys.
    3. Take keyboard off, and start to unscrew the metal plate
    4. The hard part, you have to take off the upper rubber keyboard surrounding thing.
    5. Take metal plate off(rubber part was blocking before)
    6. Switch cards
    7. put everything back on ;)

I'm PRETTY sure those are the steps, but you should either contact your dealer, or wait for someone else here to confirm it, I did it once, last November, so I can't recall all the details.

    Good luck.

I have the guide and see the steps. I am just a little unclear as to how you Pry the 3 'tabs' above the keyboard over the F1~ keys.

It seems like I am going to break the Keys

    NONO!

There are 3 tabs, just look over the F1-Prt Sc keys, above them, you shoudl clearly see tabs, you take a credit card, or a flathead screw, and push them back, the keyboard will pop up.

What these guys above said is fine, but be extremely careful when taking the keyboard out. Those little tabs you have to push in can be tricky and you can damage your keyboard doing so, so don't come into contact with any keys if possible.

Also be careful when removing the wires from the wirelesscard itself as you can rip off the attachment head pretty easily. Again when reinstalling the card or installing a new card be careful when plugging the cables into your new wireless card as you can damage the plug.

Other than that, it's a fairly simple install really.

After removing both screws marked with a "k" on the bottom get a small flathead. Start with the left most tab. Position the flathead at a 45degree andgle a depress the tab fullyuntil its aligned with the panel it sits in. Now carefully and easy prop the keyboard up just a millimeter. Proceed to the next tab in the middle and then the last on the right. An easy way to prop up the keyboard a bit is just stick your nail under one of the keys there. But EASY dont pull hard or you rip the key off. All you need is to raise it one mm. Thats all.

you could always just try to push it back on...
however, if that doesn't work, you may have to buy a new keyboard.

Ouch. I messed up my F1 key as well, while taking my keyboard off. My reseller helped me do a semi-fix though. I think he glued it on with super glue or something. The key works, but it doesn't feel good. Oh well, not like I use the F1 key often.

Keyboards are kinda expensive, I believe my reseller told me something like 60-80, I forget.

o.0 how did u get the key to come off? BTW, i find that it's easiet to use "credit card" to push the tabs down. It's better than screw driver because credit card isn't hard/sharp enought to damage the keyboard.

Good tip aphirat, I tried the credit card method just to see how well it would work and voila~! No problems at all.

    Thanks man~!
