i have an x555uf with no screen assembly (because i broke the panel) and i was going to order a screen assembly from a x555d.
will the hinges of the screen assembly just screw onto the x555uf case just like the old screen assembly since their on the same platform or is every x555 computer slightly diffrent.
also i have the original assembly for the x555uf if the hinges or parts are incompatible i can take the screen panel out of the x555d screen assembly and put it into my laptops original x555uf assembly (since i only broke the lcd panel) if i need to.
the 555ds screen has a diffrent design on the bottom of the screen than the 555ufs is partly why im asking, but the hinges look to be in the same area. also i dont care about that plastic hinge cover fitting as my computer is a frankenstiens monster anyway i just need a working laptop.
also if i buy a replacement screen with a higher res(like this https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/ASUS/X555UF/) than the original and plug it into the internal screen connector will it work? ive never messed around with internal screens much
this is a pretty convoluted question i just wrote for a simple yes or no question but i just want to make sure you all know what im trying to do.
also im buying an entire assembly because its cheaper than just buying the panel.

    thanks!

The internal connectors should all be the same edp, so I would think the screen should connect and work. That said, I'm not sure if the entire assembly is exactly the same.

Expect that they dont mate properly, I swapped the screen assembly from an A555L into an X555LN and the screw holes for the hinges in the chassis where like 2mm offset, grinded them with a carbide bit and the rest fits as it should, but Asus does tons of small variations, the bezel from one wont fit the other, because they use different clip formats, its dumb for what is an almost exact copy of the parts, but they call it product iterations(with some reason).

asusparts has all the parts you need, and sometimes they are cheaper than ebay, batteries are more expensive, but those are genuine batteries and not rebrand like everything on ebay.

Can confirm, I've seen asusparts ship parts that repair centers claimed not to be able to get.
