    Hey guys,

    Simple Question:
Will an Asus GT70 run and display images without a video card? Can you remove the video card and have the Intel Chip provide the video?

    Thankyou for your input!
I appreciate it quite a bit.

    -Mike

do you mean msi gt70 ? (it has Intel HD 4600Graphics i think)
i think it's totally possible, the 4600 hd chipset is pretty decent, video won't lag much, and if it's only for video, only the chipset is working anyway.

i don't exacly know the pc will behave it the dedicated gpu is missing, but it souldn't be a problem, still wait for another confirmation =)

Thankyou for your reply! Yes, I did mean the MSI GT70. dang. I have been looking at so many systems and they mix in my head.

If anyone knows I'd love the answer, but I am going to post this in the MSI forum.

It should work, but fan speed will go crazy and work at 100% all the time. I had a GT70 barebones in which my GPU died and I sent it for repair, and I was using my laptop without dedicated GPU. The symptoms became full fan speed all the time but everything worked well.

With the unlocked bios you change the mode to igp and the fan behaves itself and the system is normal.
