    So i sent in my warranty, g51 from newegg, with all the stuff like proof of purchase and stuff. And then a little bit later i signed up for the windows 7 upgrade, and it asked me to send in proof of purchase again to asus, do i have to send it in a second time?

    Yes, a different house is handling the windows 7 upgrade.
