I am having some trouble getting my slipstreamed winxp disk to see my SATA drive on my G1s.

I have followed the links on here and used Nlite with the drivers posted. I have tried several times with no luck.

Anyone out there who has gotten this to work, can you answer these:

Which version of Nlite did you use?

When you insert your driver do you use the "single" or "multiple driver folder" option?

Did you select "textmode driver" or "regular PNP driver" when you inserted the iaahci.inf driver? Is that the driver you used?

If you used textmode driver, which did you then select from the list?

Also, do I still need to hit F6 after it boots to the XP cd?

Just a bit frustrated here. I would appreciate any help you can offer.

I hear you have to turn of SATA mode in the BIOS. Haven't played around with XP though, I am content with Linux.

I found my answers on the Asus forums. Here they are:

I used the latest non-beta version of Nlite
    single driver
    text mode
selected the "Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller".
I did not add in any other drivers.
    Hit esc while booting
Select to boot from CD instead of SATA
Hit key while it says "hit any key to boot from CD" before it times out
It should then detect your SATA drive and let you delete partitions and install XP.

Here is the link to the Asus thread that helped me:

I installed all the rest of my drivers from the driver packs floating around. I followeed the order here to make sure my audio would work:

The ethernet install executable didn't work but pointing it to the exact driver fixed it.

I still have one device that isn't working. I believe it is the card reader. I remember others had trouble with that too. I am going to try to find an answer to that next.

I hope this helps prevent others from making the large stack of Nlite coasters that are on my desk now.
