I was running a memory test on my z63a and I was getting some errors that looked troublesome. I asked about my results a thread here:

Another member has suggested that it looks like a problem with the memory in slot 2. I just wanted to know which one is slot 2, the one under the keyboard or the one right at the bottom of the notebook?

    Thanks

IIRC, the one underneath the keyboard is the "first" socket. According to the report, it says slot 0 has problems. They always said to populate that one first since it's more of a pain to get to it. If you want to be absolutely sure, just remove the SODIMM from the compartment accessible underneath and run the test again.

Are you running mismatched sets of modules? It might be trying to run dual channel when that sort of system is more sensitive to mismatches (unless the sizes are completely different).

Either way, both are reading errors. There might be other issues. Did you check the CPU temperature? Shouldn't be more than 70~80C at boot.
