Would it be possible to modify the video card of the z63a to an ati x700 or a nvidia 6800 go, and the speakers?

......... no... If you want to completely waste you money you could buy the motherboard for the W3v and have a 64mb x600 onboard ---- but then again, it'd be smarter to just buy the w3v.

.... you can't ADD graphics cards to systems...... I'm not sure what you mean by "speakers" but you can't add them internally either. They're designed with the laptop.

    heh... good call.

To answer the topic. Things like graphics cards and speakers are engineered into the very tight confines of the notebook chassis. To get the higher-end graphics cards, a different mainboard has to be built to accomodate them - as PROPortable mentioned. If you really MUST have the better graphics in that form factor, sell your z63a, save your pennies, and buy a w3

Sorry rob7... like everyone has already said, modifying an INTEGRATED video card solution is impossible.
As for speakers...I've never heard of that being done. Improbable as well, I assume...

You're better off just saving up to get a really good laptop :D
