    z63a palmrest cleaning?

    so, has anyone found a way to clean the palmrests of your z63 without screwing up the finish even more? Mainly there's a pretty noticeable grey/black smudge where the heel of my hand naturally sits while using the touchpad. It still looks like the matte finish, so I'm guessing it's hand goo and not me polishing out the paint on my notebook or something.

    Of course I'm assuming the plastic is just painted, which makes using a solvent a tricky business. I'm tempted to use a cotton ball with isopropyl alcohol on it, but not if it will leave me with two white patches or something...

    solvents are a no-no. Alcohol is iffy, but could work, just don't leave it on the surface or rub too hard. With the light color of the palmrest on that one, the black very well could be the paint wearing off.
