    I recently received my speakers(Logitech x-530's!) and I just realized my current AMD 1.2+ doesn't have a soundcard(It totally escaped my mind).

    So If I wanted to use these speakers, would I need to buy the Audigy ZS? I'm assuming neither has 5.1 Sound outlets.

    Also, there is a SPDIF(Or something?) but the x-530's don't have that plug, If I recall, so would I need to buy a converter?

    I'm a growing audiophile, Just switching from regular speakers to these, on a 2.1 soundcard already makes a HUGE difference, also, I switched form regular earphones to Sennheisers, and the differene is so big!

    Thanks

    The Z71V will work fine. I got mine hooked up to it.

    The SPDIF is the same as the normal headphone jack. It will fit.

    Hmmm, so just using one of the plugs will distribute to all 5 satellites?

    Thanks for the info ^^

    That depends...

    If all 5 of the satelllites hook up to the sub and from the sub to your laptop. It will work. The question would be if you are looking for good high performance than you might wnat to consider the creative labs. Since that will output more power.

    For me, I got the logitech speakers where it is 2 satellites hook to a sub. The sub hook to my Z71V. It works fine.

    ah..

    It's 4 Satellites -> subwoofer -> Main satellite -> computer

    And My budget was sub $70 CDN, so it was good for its price :D

    There are 3 input plugs, a black, green and orange one...
