So I just replaced the keyboard on my z70va (old one was ruined by liquid spill). When I installed it, suddenly the touchpad stopped working. I installed the newest drivers, but it doesn't seem like the notebook even recognizes that it's plugged in. This is weird, because it was working fine before.

    Any tips/ suggestions? Thanks

Okay, I check the connection where the little tab from the touchpad plugs in, and I guess it got loose. Everything works good now. It looks like whoever assembled the computer just took some tape and taped the little plastic holder piece into place, it had separated under the tape.

Good to know that you got it fixed. It's funny how such small things can cause such an alarm...
