z70va question (chemUSA?)

I've been looking pretty extensively the last month or so for a laptop. This site has been an amazing resource in helping me understand notebooks better.. and I've only owned/used desktop PC's so there was a lot to learn.

I think I've narrowed my choice down to the z70va, and I have been looking at resellers trying to decide who would be the best fit for me.

I'm a little confused by the chemUSA books that discountlaptops offer.
Is there any major difference between this z70va and one that I could get from geared2play or ProPortable?

hah i just made a similar thread, but i live in canada and am looking for a Z70va..
the only differences that i could notice, from their websites, would be brands of hardware installed into their Z70va models.
but im sure that they will come in and tell you.

 

Nope, its the same barebones, just marketed as their own.

 

Chem usa provides their own warranty and mainly functions as a distributor to other resellers. Dealer sites have the option of offering chem usa, their own 100% cover, partial cover or none at all warranty. We offer our own so does proportable....

 

ChemUSA is I'm sure a fine company, but you're just not getting served by those who are selling to you.... chem is building and warranting the product. Take that as you will.

 

well yes ofcourse thats the exception to the rule. The place that provides support is not always the place to take the rma....
