i have a z71v that is about 4 months old - i bought it brand new but recently i've been noticing a problem. I use my z71v basically as my stereo - i have a wire going from the sound output on the computer to a stereo reciever. Recently it's been making a terrible buzzing/feedback type sound randomly when i touch the wire, move the computer or anything. if i fiddle with the wire the sound goes away and doesn't happen for a while. anyone know if it's a problem with the wire, or maybe my sound output?

It sounds to me like a problem with your cable and not your sound output of your notebook.

Just to be sure find an extra cable if you can or stick in some headphones to see if the distortion continues then.

    Cheers,
