I've been haveing alot of problems with my z81sp wireless LAN card since I first got about 5 or 6 months ago. When trying to connect to my dad's wireless LAN, it may connect for an hour, loose the connection, or not connect at all. I have no problem at all to my university's un-secured connection in the library, and yet it won't connect to any of the school's unsecured connections in the other buildings.

Recently, the problems have gotten alot worse. Sometimes the blue Wi-Fi light under the keyboard doesn't turn on, but it will still say that it's picking up a connection at the bottom of the screen. The wireless LAN console says that it's turned on, but when I go try to get into the asus Wlan control center it says that I have to connect the wireless card. Pressing the Wi-Fi lan button over the keyboard doesn't work at all. I've had this problem before and it went away, but now it's back again. It seems to happen every time I'm within range of an un-secured wireless network other than the library's or whenever I'm within range of my dad's encrypted network (which I should have access to).

Does this sound like a driver issue or is my computer and/or wireless card dieing on me?
