    Hi guys,
I just bought a zenbook prime ux32vd-dh71 and I will be upgrading the ram and swapping out the 500 gb hard drive for a samsung 830. I was wondering if you guys have any advice for me and most importantly I wanted to ask what external enclosure should I use to salvage the 500 gb hard drive (I've never bought an external enclosure so I don't know how to look for the ideal one)? Thanks! :)

Just make sure it's 7mm for your samsung 830. As for the Enclosure get a usb3.0 like vantec brand or others. And most important for your iSSD don not wipe off the expresscache or anything. You'll regret doing it.

Curious: what memory are you going with? As for the enclosure, base it off your needs. If it's going to be backup for your system alone, you probably won't need all the bells and whistles (USB 3.0 is becoming more and more common on the enclosures though, for very little $ extra, so I concur with laziepig on getting it).

But if you want to map it, you could get an enclosure with an Ethernet port for network purposes. :)

    Here is a general search:
hard drive enclosure - Google Search

I don't have a recommendation for which brand you should go with, but if you need it only for the most basic functionality, then this one appears to accommodate your HDD without breaking the bank:

I hope this helps some. :)
