$589 off the XPS M1530, until 6/11 11:59PM CT. This puts it at $1,199 or a mere $36 a month.

    So here's the scoop.

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache)
    Full Hi Definition, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LCD (1920x1200) & 2.0 M
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)
    320GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
Free upgrade to a 9-cell battery

I recently purchased a laptop back in January. It's an Acer 5920 I bought it at Circuit City for about $600. It's served me well for internet browsing and some light media. But I'm starting to crave some RTS games, as well as others like RCT3, Sims, maybe some WoW. My computer can't play them.

It's got a T5450 1.66, 2GB ram, 200GB HD, no idea what the audio and video is. It's gotta be onboard stuff. As you can see, not built for gaming.

So if I were to upgrade, would this be the best value? Only thing I'm kinda worried about is the graphics card. Then again I'm not one to complain that I can't play every game on max.

I just went through the options manually and it said upgrade for free. I'm really close to pulling the trigger here. As long as this thing is adequate for a casual gamer.

This is close to the best price you'll get for a system with these specs, I say go for it. If it's possible to downgrade the RAM to the lowest available option, do that, and buy it yourself from Newegg. But I think this is a bundle deal.

Look for the banner that says 3 day deals. It's listed in there.

Isn't the $599 off deal the standard deal that they have every day?

That price is not bad, but I don’t think its a very good deal either. Especially for technology on its way out.
You can buy a similarly configured HP dv5t with the new Centrino 2 platform
    P8600 (2.4Ghz/ 1066MHz FSB/ 3MB)
    4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
NVIDIA 9600M GT 512MB (DDR2) NOTE: unfortunately due to slower RAM, 9600M GT will not perform significantly better than the 8600M GT DDR3 of M1530.
    320GB 5400RPM HDD
    15.4" diagonal WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen for around $1200.

i agree with PhoenixFX.... M1530 isnt the top of the line stuff anymore... wait for dell to release a montevina version, or jump to another company with better specs at lower price
