    Hello,
I dont know what happened to my laptop XPS 16. I just switched on the machine and all the birghtness is gone. Though movies and sounds are working perfectly along everything else but overall the screen has become dull. I have tried a system restore as well. But no luck...

    Please any body can help...

Will look forward to hear from you soon.

    Try this:
Pull out the power cable and the battery, then hold the power button for about 10 seconds and turn it on again.
If that does not help and you cannot put the brightness higher with the Fn+Arrow Up key, your screen maybe defective.

Thanks for the tip dude. I actually contacted the technical support at dell and they asked me to do some couple of tests including the one you mentioned here. But no luck. The technical person told me that my Screen is having problem and it will be replaced. So coming wednesday they are sending an engineer at home to replace my screen at my place with the new one.

    Regards
