Hey Guys
New to the forum, so if I am in the wrong spot, just let me know.
Anyway, I want a blu-ray laptop, and been looking at the problems people are having with dell screens, and the electric shock thing.
Dell Xps looks the biz, but I dont want it to look nice but smell like crap, you know what Im saying.
Anyway, been looking at the new Sony Vaio FZ38M with Penryn t8100. This looks ok and for 849.00 cant go wrong.
But the dell has a big question mark over it as it seems on this site with the screens.
Will be using the laptop for multi media and some light gaming, nothing like farcry.
What do you think?
Take a risk with dell or just go for the Sony.
The one thing I like with dell is the call out service, I have herd sony is not that great for customer service and returns.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, First time laptop buyer.. Nice 1

the electric shock is not that bad really. It just wake you up from sleep sometime but really harmless.
You only experience it when ur hand is really wet, beside that xps1530 have a much better design and slimmer. Sony has nothing besides their brand name.\
It's worth for you to take the risk because you always have a back up: 21 days return policy - full refund, no question ask from dell services!!!! -
The only thing putting me off the Sony is the low screen resolution 1280x800 - I would like at least 1440x900, esp if you want it for Blue-Ray. Otherwise there would be no question right now esp as Dell UK has yet to actually release Penryn processors for the m1530.
£1000.00 to spend sony FZ38m or XPS M1530
