I know I shouldn't update to A11 BIOS but I couldn't hold... Then I brought myself troubles...
First Windows 7 couldn't start at all. BSOD appeared shortly after 'Starting Windows'. I then figured out it was because the new BIOS set HDD as 'Intel Smart Response'. I changed to 'AHCI' and it was OK.
Then in each time Windows 7 switches off the display after a few minutes and I wake it up, it says 'display driver stopped responding and has recovered'. I still have no clue why and how i can fix it.
The problem is on HD4000 driver and it s already the newest version 2778.
Even worse, if the screen saver is actvated (which is also a blank screen), then I can no longer activate the screen. I can only blindly press ctrl-alt-del and input password to resume display.

Hi,
You may update the Chipset driver, and the Video drivers. As this system supports Optimus technology, you will have to update both Intel and NVidia drivers. Please uninstall the driver and the supporting application from the system. Download and re-install the latest drivers again.
Please find below the link for the Dell drivers download page, you may use the same for downloading the drivers.

I hope this helps.

I tried uninstall and reinstall both HD 4000 and nVidia drivers to no avail. It was even worse that after I installed the newest nvida driver (from nVidia), teh screen blinked from time to time.
I restored back an old system backup in which the display driver was an old version (2761), and the problem disappeared. Immediately after I applied the new driver (2778), the proble appeared again. So it seems A11 conflicts with 2778 driver. -

Hi,
Have you installed the new driver (2778) from the NVidia web site? If so, you may use the old driver as of now and wait for a driver update from Dell. The Drivers available on the Dell Web-site are OEM versions and optimized to system specific. The ones on the NVidia web site is the general driver.
Thanks and regards,

Hi,
The A11 BIOS was mainly to enhance the system for Windows 8. As of now, you may use the driver that is working fine and wait for the next Video driver update.
