I have been told in an ebay forum that my 1 year old Dell Xps m1530, is only work $400.00? One year ago i paid $1500.00 CDN!

You would think that a XPS system would be worth more than a cheap heavy , slow acer found at walmart.
    What do you think?

    I would say $650-700.

Depends on the warranty, condition of the laptop, and the specs.

I'd say find somebody that doesn't know a lot about computers yet wants one, and hopefully sell it that way.

Laptops age (price wise) very badly, and given that your laptop wasn't the top of the range model, its a year old and its used, I think 400 - 500 is fairly acceptable.

Laptops are like new cars...the moment you *drive them off the car lot* they depreciate in value! :D

I think if you decide to sell, and it's in great condition..you shouldnt have any prob's getting a decent amount of money for the 1530~!

I believe $800 is about right if everything is in pristine condition.

Stick it up on the bay, put a reserve on and see how it goes, as yomamasfavourite said someone may want it that bad they pay over the odd's it happens a lot on eBay, I've seen items I know can be had off the web cheaper got for a lot more on eBay I think poeple get caught up on the moment or think everything on eBay is a bargain....
