Hi, I have just bought a replacement AC Adapter for my DELL XPS 17 3D laptop. It is 130W while the original one that come with my system is 150W. Upon started on using it, a message display on the screen:

130W AC Power Adapter has been determined
You system will operate slower and the battery will take more time to charge.
This problem might be solved by:
Ensure the plug is inserted completely for best system operation

I don't use my battery a lot, I just have it on in case if if there is power interruption, so I do not mind if it takes 3x time longer to charge the battery.

But about my system "will be running slower", how much slower do you think? Like 30%?

Is there any other negative effect that this message box didn't mention? Like if it'll cause damage physically to my hardware (HDD, graphic card, etc) in the future?
If there is no other negative effect, is there any workaround that I can disable this message from come up every time that I plug in this 130W AC Adapter?

    Thanks All.

Any reason why you got the 130W instead of the 150W? I'm almost positive you can't disable that message since it'll keep warning you that you're not using the correct charger.

The reason why is that I couldn't find any 150W Charger for my laptop on Ebay. I don't like to buy directly from DELL because it is expensive and they charge so high for a shipping.
