    hi there

    i just got a 1330 from ebay, and i've found that its goit the dreaded cpu whine....

    whats with this deal?? i though the whine had been corrected or something since i hadn't read from it in a very very long time

    I do like a lot the computer and have warranty. What part should i ask tech support to change in order to solve this? the motherboard??

    Almost all current Centrino Core2 Duo notebooks are affected by the CPU whine. Even Apple MacBooks:

    The high pitched noise depends on the specific CPU, your devices and drivers you have installed. Some notebooks make more noise some less.

    I had my mobo replaced becuz of the GPU. Noticed there is no whine with the new mobo

    well i am consciuous that the whine is presente in a greater or smaller volume in every notebook, but mine whines like a biatch....

    i will just have to ask for a mobo replacement
